In memory of The Mariott, Islamabad

Seeing the Mariott bombed and burning away was not what I would imagine to happen in Islamabad. We had a good stay when we were there for almost a week; the staffs were polite, friendly and efficient in their services, the Japanese restaurant helped overcame my kerinduan for sushi and miso soup, the Thai restaurant served delicious tomyam, and oh I even bought a piece of material that had turned into my favourite baju kurung...

the lobby had a large aquarium, with colourful fishes so pleasant for the eyes to see. There was also a cake shop, carpet shop, jewellery store, and these have all gone in ashes.

in memory of the Mariott, I am now in my favourite baju kurung.

Al-fatihah to those who perished, and may there soon be peace in Pakistan.
